Universidad del Bío-Bío

A display of student activism in Chile. Due to a lack of action from both the school principal and government to reform tuition at the Universidad del Bío-Bío, students protest against police armed with tear gas and water canons. The students’ goal was to attract the attention of the media, thus creating an outlet for the students to publicly speak of their discontent. This has been my favorite and most rewarding thing I have done in Chile since I came here. Not only did I love my time shooting but I was able to make some new great friends.

A very special heartfelt thank you to the students of Universidad del Bío-Bío and I wish you the best of luck!
